Greenpoint Technologies, part of the Zodiac Group of Companies has received a patent for its Boeing 787 floor structure system design.
The aircraft offers completion centers multiple challenges with the Boeing 787 composite fuselage – with new engineering solutions for completion centers required.
The flooring system patent features include a floor panel, two seat tracks and an intercostal that bridges between and attaches to the seat tracks for the 787.
The intercostal protrudes through the floor panel, providing attachment locations that can be customized for aircraft monuments and furnishings.
Greenpoint’s patented floor system design is utilized on all Greenpoint 787 interior completions.

The patent represents Greenpoints fifth approved patent.
