Air Works has unveiled a prototype of business jet cabin at the 2012 India Aviation show, designed by leading car interior designer Dilip Chhabria.
The display is part of a move into the VIP aircraft cabin refurbishment business by Air Works, who aim to target refurbishment of VIP interiors ranging from helicopters to a Gulfstream G550.
Lead designer Chhabria commented: “The prototype of this interior has been developed with the vision to provide customers [with] a look and feel of the design capability, quality details and fit and finish which DC Design is well known for in the automotive community”.
Vivek Gour, who is the Air Works managing director, forecasts that the Indian VIP aircraft cabin refurbishment market is worth about $150-200 million a year.
