SR Technics gets EASA base maintenance approval for Boeing 777

SR Technics has been granted base maintenance approval by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA), which acts on behalf of EASA, to provide cabin modification services at Zurich Airport for Boeing 777 customers. This approval will expand the service capabilities of the company.

The approval will enable the SR Technics Center of Excellence to carry out major turnkey cabin modifications and embodiment projects for the B777 as well as base maintenance support from October.

An upgraded line that focuses only on cabin modification work will handle refurbishments. Dedicated processes and teams of well-trained experts will minimize ground time.

According to Michael Sattler, who is the head of aircraft services at SR Technics, getting approval for B777 maintenance and cabin modifications is in line with a broader strategy to constantly upgrade their capabilities. There is a clear market requirement for B777 cabin work.
