Previously debuted a couple of years ago in 2015, Boeing Business Jets have announced that they are developing and offering the biggest window currently offered on any passenger jet; the Skyview Panoramic Window in conjunction with the GKN Aerospace Fokker business.
The Skyview Panoramic Window will be provided as a feature on the BBJ, BBJ 2 and all 3 members of the BBJ MAX family. This includes the new BBJ MAX 7, which is scheduled to enter service in 2018.
The window measures around 1.4 x 0.5 meters (4.5 x1.5 feet) and spans 3 existing B737 windows. It is located aft of the wing and has many potential locations depending on the type of plane.
The Skyview Panoramic Window will be offered for sale through GKN Aerospace’s Fokker business as a retrofit on existing BBJs, and Boeing Business Jets will also offer it as a priced feature for green aircraft, and will be provided on BBJ MAX aircraft from 2018.
