At NBAA 2018, Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) announced that the company has delivered the first customer BBJ Max.
The BBJ Max 8 has been delivered to Comlux Completions center in Indianapolis, for interior-completion and delivery to its awaiting owner.
Head of Boeing Business Jets, Greg Laxton:“We are excited to begin delivering a longer-range and more capable version of the world’s most popular business jetliner.”
There are 20 orders held by Boeing for the BBJ Max, most of which ar are predominantly for the BBJ Max 8 variant; there are also believed to be orders for BBJ Max 7 and Max 9 variants too.
Customers are gradually ordering BBJ MAX variants as they assess their options from the existing 737 BBJ fleet. Four orders are believed to remain on backlog for the original 737NG airframe BBJ – which still presents a credible airframe option for green completion for customers even in-light of the new MAX variants.
