With the AC319 Elegance, Airbus gives an option to custom design with modules that still have high quality at a slightly lower cost and also deliver to the customers faster.
The jet starts off with the standard forward galley and bathroom along with an aft bedroom and bathroom. The middle of the plane is separated into 3 sections or “zones” that the customer can use for a variety of interior options that consist of an office, conference, lounge or dining area.
Even though it is a straightforward design, the customer will still have a wide range of choices when it comes to fabrics and colors. If the customer later changes their mind on configuration, it can be changed easily versus having a complete redesign of the cabin.
The typical custom designed AC319 cost is around $90 million with the AC319 Elegance dropping that price tag by $10 million. The buyer can expect delivery with 20 months of order and Airbus is hoping to shave a few months off the time frame once production is ramped up.
