The newest and largest member of the A350 XWB family has completed hot weather testing at Al Ain International airport in Abu Dhabi.
The Airbus A350-1000 test aircraft, designated MSN065, has successfully completed hot weather tests where the aircraft was exposed to extreme weather conditions at temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.
The aircraft successfully cleared all the set parameters of its cooling performance demonstrating its capacity to operate in scorching weather conditions.
The A350-1000 is the newest and largest member of the A350 XWB family. Commercial variants are scheduled to enter into service in the fourth quarter of 2017, with 211 confirmed orders from 12 global customers.
To date a VIP customer for the A350-1000 ACJ variant has yet to be publicly announced.
