Comlux is reporting its completion and service centre in Indianapolis, is enjoying an increase in maintenance services on large VIP bizjet aircraft such as the ACJ and BBJ.
The services are branded ‘Comlux Completion’ and has gained 4 new operators including 3 BBJs based in the US and 1 BBJ2 based in the Middle East, along with maintaining a steady portfolio of recurrent maintenance clients.
Maintenance services for narrow and widebody VIP jets are conducted in parallel with the growing completions business. Comlux has simultaneously worked to complete 2 VIP completions on both a BBJ and an A330-200 while gearing up for the arrival of the first ever BBJ Max 8 completion and ACJ320neo.
Comlux Completion is an approved Airbus and Boeing completion center and authorized to deliver a Warranty and repair Center for BBJ type aircraft and an Authorized Service Center for ACJ.
Daron Dryer, CEO for Comlux Completion: “Comlux provides clients a top of the line VIP maintenance option in the industry with a full pedigree of in-house engineering and back shop fabrication capabilities for their aircraft. We aim to protect the value of the assets of our customers by performing quality maintenance and repair work in accordance with the manufacturer best practices.”
He added: “We have consistently proven that we are not only one of the leading centers of VIP completions, but we have now established ourselves as an industry leader in providing VIP maintenance services worldwide.”
Maintenance work often leads to upgrades and having the combined mix of maintenance and completion services provides customers the option to include interior modifications and avionics upgrades alongside maintenance.
For example, one BBJ was upgraded with a complete Collins Aerospace’s VenueTM cabin management system.
Comlux Completion launched Comlux 3.0 at the end of 2017 an initiative to advance the “Engineering Luxury” mission statement through technology equipment, employee training and R&D investments, which in turn enhances both their completion and maintenance businesses.
The program includes digital maintenance tools for paperless operations for task cards and part tracking efforts through wireless tablets and bar code scanners.
