Bell Helicopter, based in Fort Worth, Texas, has sold the first Bell 429 outfitted with the MAGnificent luxury cabin interior created by Italy-based Mecaer Aviation Group to an unidentified Russian customer.
A large number of seating configurations are available in the cabin interior of the Bell 429 MAGnificent as well as a range of Italian fabrics, colors and optional equipment.
The MAGnificent’s custom interior uses a passive noise abatement system called SILENS, which is achieved by not having any attachment points for the rotor on the roof. This reduces noise levels by up to 65% and enables the customers to have a comfortable conversation while in flight.
Another unique feature is the In-Flight Entertainment Enhanced Lounge (I-FEEL), that provides a customizable interactive touch screen for entertainment, communication and flight information management systems.
The Bell 429 MAGnificent interior is not only for new aircraft, it is also available as a kit for retrofit on aircraft already in operation. The company is aiming to certify it with minimal weight gain over the standard Bell 429 configuration.
