Airbus Corporate Jet Centre , based in Toulouse, France, recently delivered a new lightweight ACJ319 VVIP cabin to an undisclosed customer in Asia. Due to the client’s desire to fly from Southern Asia to Los Angeles, this involved a creative design and use of wireless technologies to meet expectations of range and comfort as well as optimizing the ACJ319’s performance.
ACJC delivered the VVIP cabin 10% lighter than contractual commitment while maintaining high quality. This was achieved by innovations in the communication systems, artistic design and cabinet making.
The Cabin Management System and the In-Flight Entertainment used wireless system architecture based on a brand new full Internet Protocol and Wi-Fi configuration. Digital tablets were also used that offered streaming of music and video via a new full High-Definition Audio & Video On Demand system.
Able to seat 15 passengers, the cabin also offers a double office and a lounge in the forward section. This is followed by a large dining area, then a VIP bedroom and ensuite bathroom with a square shower. The VIP tables in the dining area have stands made of composite, which offer a different design element as well as lightness.
