Lufthansa Technik, based in Hamburg, Germany, has reached an agreement with an undisclosed customer in China for a VIP Airbus ACJ319 cabin completion. This will be the Lufthansa Technik Group’s 29th VIP completion for the China market, with redelivery expected in Spring 2016.
Lufthansa Technik’s U.S. subsidiary BizJet International in Tulsa, Oklahoma, will collaborate with a division of Hermès, Paris on the interior design. The cabin will have a large dining and lounge area along with a private master bedroom/office and fully equipped master bathroom that includes a shower. BizJet will construct all of the furniture in-house as well as the galley.
According to Brian Barber, vice president for completions and MRO at BizJet International, it will have 19 seats for takeoff, 12 of which can be in full-flat sleeping positions. The VIP club-seats and divans will be designed and upholstered by Hermès’ craftsmen in Paris and exclusive Hermès fabric with be featured on the bulkhead and curtains of the aft cabin.”
The ACJ319 will be outfitted with an in-flight entertainment and cabin management system that can be operated with tablet devices via a cabin Wi-Fi environment.
