28 East, based in Zug, Switzerland, recently announced delivery of its first aircraft completion project, an Airbus Corporate Jet ACJ319. 28 East is a joint venture between Vertis Aviation and K5 Aviation.
The green aircraft was completed in a little over a year at the Woensdrecht Fokker Facility in Holland. It was delivered to K5-Aviation in Munich to manage, who has extensive experience in operating long range and VVIP large jets.
The ACJ319 has a VVIP cabin with 19 seats and two bedrooms, one of which includes an ensuite shower. If the the bedrooms are not in use, they can be converted into relaxation areas. The interior features hand-tufted carpet from Tisca Tiara, all leather from Italian producer Foglizzo and African ebony wood veneer.
Other details include an integrated cabin humidifier to reduce fatigue on long-haul flights along with a cinema room that includes a 55 inch LED screen. Cabin control is provided by Alster Aero and can be used from tablets and smart phones, in addition to multimedia entertainment, WiFi and telephony.
Special attention was paid to the airframe structure that incorporates ultra-light honeycomb cabin engineering and five additional center tanks. Also added were Sharklets, upswept fins attached to the wingtips, that gives the jet one of the longest ranges in the world for a VIP completed Airbus.
The ACJ319 is available for charter through Vertis Aviation and this latest addition brings their fleet to thirteen, which also include a Gulfstream G450, Gulfstream G550, Gulfstream G650, Boeing Business Jet, Bombardier Global 6000, three Airbus ACJ319, Bombardier Global XRS aircraft, Bombardier Global Express, a Dassault Falcon 7X, a Boeing 727 VIP aircraft and a Learjet 45.
